Nyora Speedbowl : Last event for 2016 season

Well we headed off to Nyora on Sunday afternoon for the very last race of the season. This was a last minute event for the track to try to cover a couple of wash out events.
Heat races.
In heat 1, I started in pole position in and went on and had a win.
In heat 2 I started in position 6 and came home in third spot.
In heat 3, I started from 6th again and this time came home in 2nd.
When the point s were tallied I was 2nd highest qualifier and was starting from outside front row.
Feature Race
Both pole position can and myself started a bit early and both of us jumped the start, after a warning from the chief steward we had a complete restart, This time I got the lead into the first corner , without jumping the start and raced away to a good lead, by about half race distance I could feel the car struggling and knew my tires were going off, Over the last few laps I was being pressured by cars behind me but managed to hand on for another victory.
What a great way to finish off my best season ever.
Overall we had 12 race meetings for the season (losing a couple to weather)
My results were : 8 wins, 1 second , 2 thirds and a sixth place at Drouin.
So in all, 11 out of the 12 events finishing on the podium. What a year we had.
