Start of 2017 Race season Rounds 1 & 2

Well the new season has come around fast again, it only seems like yesterday we were celebrating winning the championship for a third season in a row, and now we are back into it again.

With two races back to back leading up to Christmas it makes it a bit of a rush, with new drivers and cars on the track the competition is going to be fierce this year, nit that it hasn’t been over the last many years.

Moama Round : 1
Going for my 8th Feature win in a row at this track, my favorite to race on, big and fast.
After three heats races i had 2 wins and a 4th, which put my off the front row pole position for the feature, not a bad start to the season.
For the feature race i lead every lap until the very last and im not sure if i relaxed or wasn’t concentrating or im just getting older, i was passed by another car and finished second.
Disappointing not winning, but happy with the 2nd place as its a long season.

Laang Round : 2
We have just come from the largest track to now the smallest, and not my favorite at all.
after the heat races i had a win, a third and a fifth, it gave me enough point to be starting outside front row for the feature race.
I didn’t get a great start a after a few laps had dropped back to 5th place, managed to get some race speed and passed a car to get back to 4th and that’s were i finished.
It was a very fast and hard race, so was happy with 4th.

Well after two round the point would be pretty good, we now have a Christmas break until the 14th January when we head to Bairnsdale for round 3 of the series.
